Not lights. Not decoration.
Real plants that produce a natural glow in the dark.
To keep their glow at its brightest, they simply need the same love you’d give any favorite plant: plenty of sunlight to recharge their energy, regular watering, and consistent feeding. Just like us, the healthier and more nourished the plant is, the more brilliantly it will shine.

Firefly Petunia is a unique variety developed using bioluminescent plant technology.By integrating natural light-producing genes found in certain mushrooms, these plants can emit a soft, green glow continuously.Just like regular petunias — but with something extra.

Petunias are heavy feeders and thrive on regular fertilization. If using an alternative fertilizer, choose a petunia-specific formulation with chelated iron.
Use well-draining soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. For containers or hanging baskets, choose a high‑quality potting mix containing peat moss and perlite or vermiculite for good drainage.
Maintain consistently moist soil without overwatering. To prevent the plants from drying out, check moisture levels frequently—especially when planted in containers or during hot, dry spells.

Light Bio Bioluminescent Petunias thrive in full sun, needing 6 to 12 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth. They can tolerate partial shade, but the bioluminescence may be reduced.
Light Bio Bioluminescent Petunias are suited for spring and summer growing conditions. They grow best when temperatures are cool to warm. Avoid exposing plants to excessive heat or freezing temperatures.
Monitor for common pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites. Fungal diseases can be a problem in overly wet or humid conditions; ensure good air circulation around the plants and avoid overhead watering.
While Petunias bloom continuously, removing spent flowers keeps plants looking tidy and encourages new growth. Trim back leggy or browning growth to promote fresh, bushy growth and renewed blooming.
Regularly removing older blooms also maximizes the glow; new flower buds and stems emit the most intense light, and clearing away faded flowers ensures their glow is never hidden.

There is no need to remove the compostable liner when planting, as it can be placed directly into the soil to help protect the roots and reduce transplant shock. For a fuller appearance, seeds can be grown in containers or garden beds. Provide several hours of direct sunlight daily, or use a grow light if growing indoors. Water when the top layer of soil becomes dry, keeping the soil slightly moist but never waterlogged. As the plant grows, repot when roots begin to emerge from drainage holes or when it outgrows its container; for outdoor planting, wait until after the last frost. The ideal temperature range is 65–75°F (18–24°C). Avoid placing the plant in cold drafts or near direct heat sources to maintain steady, healthy growth.
